About
I came to this from the technical side.
Java, databases, software development. I moved toward support work because I liked the people side of it as much as the building — and because most problems people bring me turn out to be structure problems wearing different clothes.
A database schema and a page layout are the same question: what goes where, what relates to what, and can the person in front of it find what they need. Code taught me structure. Design taught me that structure nobody can read isn't really structure.
If they don't understand it, I haven't explained it well enough yet.
That's from teaching, which is where most of my working habits came from. Three of them stuck. Explain clearly. Write things down. Hand work over in a state someone else can actually use.
The last one matters more than it sounds. It's easy for support work to quietly make someone more dependent on you. I'd rather be asked back because the last thing worked than because you can't undo it — so everything I build comes with enough documentation that you or your team can maintain it without me.
I work in English and Indonesian, with clients anywhere.
